‘O Jogo’: ‘Mourinho dotes on Osimhen and wants him at Fenerbahce’

Journalist rules out Juventus move for the Nigerian

Jose Mourinho has reportedly told management of Super Lig side, Fenernahce to do everything possible to sign Victor Osimhen when his loan deal expires in the summer following the Nigerian’s decision not to leave Galatasaray in January.

The Yellow and Red side of Istanbul signed the Nigerian on loan last summer and have indicated interest to convert the loan deal to a permanent one come June 2025.

Fenerbahce are however thinking of making an offer to Napoli on the advice of Mourinho, who would like the Nigerian to work for him next season.

Portuguese newspaper ‘O Jogo’, reveals Mourinho is pushing particularly with the management to do everything possible to buy Osimhen.

There is a release clause of 81 million euros in January, but which would drop to 75 in the summer.

While Galatasaray would not be able to go beyond 50 million, Fenerbahce could go even further, in an attempt to please Mourinho and deliver the coach one of the strongest strikers around.

Meanwhile, journalist Guido Tolomei says Victor Osimhen is the first player on Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli’s list but added the Nigerian will not be moving to Turin in June 2025.

‘Being the first name on a sporting director’s book does not necessarily mean that the player will be bought. I would like to state that Juventus will definitely not buy Osimhen,’ said Tolomei.
