Odeh: Enyimba Will Adapt Quickly to Deutsch’s Philosophy

Paul Odeh has expressed confidence that Enyimba will quickly adapt to the philosophy of newly appointed Head Coach Emmanuel Deutsch as the team looks to revive its season.

The People’s Elephant, former African champions, have endured a difficult campaign in the Nigeria Premier Football League, sitting 14th on the table with 32 points from 27 matches.

Deutsch, who replaced Deji Ayeni just a week ago, began his tenure with a spirited 1-1 draw away to Rivers United in Port Harcourt.

Odeh, himself a former Rivers United defender, believes the squad must embrace the Cameroonian’s tactical approach without delay if they are to climb back into contention.

‘It’s not difficult when a new coach comes in, but you have to adapt to his style of play and philosophy,’ Odeh told Enyimbafc.net.

‘As players, we must adjust quickly to get ourselves in shape and flow with the journey. The league is a marathon, and time is not on our side. We’re not where we should be on the table, so we have to give everything and adapt fast to move up.’

Enyimba will continue their push under Deutsch with a crucial home fixture against relegation-threatened Kun Khalifat in Aba on Sunday, a match that could mark the beginning of their resurgence.
