Ofili Anchors Tiger Olympians to 42.49 4x100m Victory at Battle on the Bayou
Nigeria’s Favour Ofili delivered a decisive anchor leg to propel the Tiger Olympians to victory in the women’s 4x100m relay at the Battle on the Bayou, held at Bernie Moore Stadium in Louisiana on Saturday.
The quartet, featuring Ofili alongside compatriot Rosemary Chukwuma, who ran the third leg, and teammates Caisja Chandler and Liberian sprinter Thelma Davis, clocked 42.49 seconds.
Their performance stood out as the fastest across the two heats, revealing LSU’s dominance on home soil.
In the men’s relay, another Nigerian athlete, Joshua Caleb, produced a strong anchor leg to guide Louisiana State University’s 4x100m team to victory in 38.80 seconds.
