Ofili opens 2025 indoor campaign with 7.25, Chukwuma missing

Favour Ofili ran 7.25 in the 60m Olympic Development Final event at the LSU Twilight at the Carl Maddox Field House, an indoor track and field facility located on the campus of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday.
The Nigerian, running for the Tiger Olympians, placed second behind Thelma Davies (7.23) with Shannon Ray third in 7.50.
Interestingly, Ofili ran the fastest time in the qualifiers (7.26) ahead of Davies (7.27), giving hope of a possible sub 7.20 in the final.
Rosemary Chukwuma, earlier listed to run in the race was not in action.
In the other women’s 60m final, Marvellous Asemota ran 7.55 to win while Onya Onyinye Favour came in fourth in 7.61.
