Ofili Set for First-Ever 100m Duel with Sprint Legend Fraser-Pryce in Brussels!

Nigerian sprint sensation Favour Ofili is set to light up the track in Brussels this Friday at the prestigious Allianz Memorial Van Damme, her fourth appearance in the 2025 Diamond League circuit.

After racing in Oregon’s Prefontaine Classic, Poland’s Silesia meet, and Lausanne this Wednesday — where she’ll contest the 200m in a bid to qualify for the Diamond League Final in Zurich — Ofili will shift focus to the 100m in Brussels, where history awaits.

For the first time ever, Ofili will face off against Jamaican sprint icon Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, a five-time World Champion and Olympic gold medalist who still holds the Brussels meet record of 10.72 seconds.

The clash marks a generational moment — the rising Nigerian star versus the undisputed queen of sprint.

But Fraser-Pryce isn’t the only threat. Ofili will also line up against Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, the current world leader with a blistering 10.65 personal best.
