Onuachu Moves Five Goals Clear in Super Lig Scoring Race

Paul Onuachu has extended his lead at the top of the Süper Lig scoring chart after netting his 21st goal of the season on Saturday, strengthening his grip on the Golden Boot race.
The Trabzonspor forward has been in prolific form throughout the 2025/26 campaign and now sits comfortably ahead of his nearest challengers.
Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov remains second with 16 goals, while Fenerbahçe’s Anderson Talisca and Galatasaray’s Mauro Icardi are both on 13. Mohamed Bayo of Gaziantep FK and Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen, last season’s top scorer, have each struck 12 times.
Osimhen, who claimed the crown in 2024/25 with 26 goals in 32 matches, looks certain to lose his title to his compatriot Onuachu, whose consistency has been a driving force behind Trabzonspor’s push this season.
Marco Asensio has added 11 goals for Fenerbahçe, while Ernest Muçi and Felipe Augusto both have 10 for Trabzonspor. Umut Nayir has chipped in with eight, underlining the depth of attacking options at the club.
With the season entering its decisive phase, Onuachu’s dominance in front of goal has made him the standout striker in Turkey, while the Nigerian rivalry with Osimhen adds an extra layer of intrigue to the race for the Golden Boot.
