Onuachu Returns to Trabzonspor: ‘I Have Unfinished Business Here’

Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu has officially returned to Trabzonspor, arriving in the city by private jet from Amsterdam to complete his permanent transfer from Southampton.

Greeted by a crowd of enthusiastic fans at the airport, Onuachu expressed his excitement and emotional connection to the club.

Speaking to reporters, the 31-year-old forward said:

‘I came here on loan and felt the love immediately. Now I’m back permanently, and I still feel that same love. Last time I said I had unfinished business with this team and this city.

‘I’m here to repay that affection. It wasn’t a hard decision. I can’t wait to reunite with my teammates. I believe we’ll achieve incredible things together.’

Onuachu previously enjoyed a successful loan spell at Trabzonspor during the 2023/24 season, scoring 17 goals in 25 appearances. His return marks a significant boost for the club ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
