Onuachu Scores, Misses Penalty as Trabzonspor Draw with Antalyaspor

Paul Onuachu’s eventful night saw him both score and miss from the spot as Trabzonspor were held to a 1-1 draw away to Antalyaspor in the opening fixture of Week 20 in the Trendyol Super League.
The Nigerian striker, who has been in prolific form this season, converted a penalty in the 53rd minute to level the score after Trabzonspor had trailed 1-0 at halftime.
However, Onuachu missed a second penalty in the 81st minute following a VAR review, marking the first time in his career that he has failed to convert from the spot.
Despite the missed opportunity, Onuachu’s goal was his 13th of the campaign in just 17 league appearances, drawing him level at the top of the scoring charts with Eldor Shomurodov of İstanbul Başakşehir.
The Uzbekistan forward has also netted 13 times, though in 19 matches.
Trabzonspor, nicknamed the burgundy blues, were unable to find a winner and had to settle for a share of the points.
The result leaves them frustrated after dominating much of the second half but failing to capitalise on their chances.
