Onyedika overtakes Ndidi as Nigeria’s Most Valuable Defensive Midfielder, Arokodare value also soars

Club Brugge of Bbelgium player, Raphael Onyedika’s market value has risen from €16m in December 2024 to €20m three months after following Transfermarkt’s upgrade Wednesday of the Belgian Jupiler Pro League’s market valuation.

The defensive midfielder has thus moved above Leicester City of England star, Wilfred Ndidi who is valued €2m less (€18m).

Onyedika also moved up as the sixth most valuable Nigerian so far. He is also ranked third among all the players in his club as well as the entire Jupiler Pro League.

Worldwide, the 23-year-old is ranked 494th and 43rd worldwide among all defensive midfielders.

New Super Eagles striker, Tolu Arokodare also moved up in value by €4m, from €9m just last December to €13m, his highest ever market value.

The Festac, Lagos born forward who has scored 19 goals in 35 games across all competitions so far this year is now ranked number one among all players at his club, KRC Genk and seventh among all players playing in the Belgian topflight.

He has moved to number 14 among all Nigerian and 854th worldwide.
