Bright Osayi-Samuel’s move to Birmingham City has taken a dramatic turn, with the Nigerian winger enduring a torrid spell following heavy criticism from fans after a Championship defeat to Middlesbrough.

The 28-year-old, who joined Birmingham after leaving Fenerbahçe, was singled out by supporters in the aftermath of the 3–1 loss in Week 35 of the league. Fans accused him of being at fault for two of the goals conceded, and the backlash quickly escalated on social media.

Since that match, Osayi-Samuel has not featured for a single minute under coach Chris Davies, who has left him out of the squad in four consecutive games.
