‘Oshoala has done a lot for us on the field and other ways,’ Bay FC head coach, Montoya hails the Nigerian history-maker

Bay FC Head Coach Albertin Montoya has told the club’s official website that the quality of Asisat Oshoala’s play has been apparent since the Nigerian signed for the club albeit it’s been a frustrating two months for the former Barcelona Femeni striker who last netted a goal in late April.

Montoya pointed out that despite not scoring Oshoala has made an impact on the field.

‘She’s done a lot for us on the field and other ways. And I told her just continue helping her team, for her to make sure that she’s doing defensive responsibilities, and not to think about scoring goals.

‘And that opportunity would come, and then it came in the form of a penalty (against Lousiville), and she hit it really well. So sometimes that’s all it takes,’ Montoya told the club’s website.

Oshoala has made history for the club. She scored the team’s first-ever goal and has also scored its first-ever penalty attempt.
