Osimhen could join Super Eagles AFCON camp early if…

Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen may leave the club earlier than expected to join the Nigerian national team camp ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The development follows his yellow card in the recent Fenerbahçe derby, which brought him to the penalty limit in the Turkish Süper Lig.
If Osimhen receives another booking in Friday’s match against Samsunspor, he will be suspended for the following week’s fixture against Antalyaspor. In that case, he would be free to travel to Nigeria’s camp earlier than originally scheduled.
Under normal circumstances, Osimhen was expected to remain with Galatasaray until after the Champions League clash with Monaco and the league match against Antalyaspor. However, the disciplinary situation has opened the possibility of an earlier departure.
The timing is significant, as Nigeria is preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations, where Osimhen is expected to play a central role. His early arrival could boost the national team’s preparations, though it would leave Galatasaray without their star striker for domestic duties sooner than planned.
