Osimhen Courts Suspension as Galatasaray Face Antalyaspor

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is walking a disciplinary tightrope in Turkey, with the Galatasaray forward now just one caution away from an automatic suspension ahead of Saturday’s Super Lig trip to Antalyaspor.
The former African Footballer of the Year has already picked up three yellow cards in 11 league appearances this season, including one in the heated 1–1 Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe two weeks ago.
Another booking in any of Galatasaray’s upcoming fixtures would rule the Nigeria international out of the following match.
His domestic campaign has been disrupted by periodic injuries, which have limited his rhythm and consistency in front of goal. Despite those setbacks, Osimhen has still managed to score five times in 11 league outings for the defending champions.
The 26 year old will be looking to score for the third straight game against their host Osimhen has scored four times in just two appearances against Antalyaspor in the Super ig
He netted a hat-trick in Galatasaray’s 4-0 win when Antalyaspor visited the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi RAMS Park last March. A goal for Osimhen will take his total haul against Antalyaspor to five in three games and equal the highest number of goals he has scored against a team in the Super Lig. He has scored five times in three games against Samsunspor
His impressive form in Europe also took a brief hit this week as his scoring streak came to an end in Galatasaray’s 1–0 defeat to AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League.
Even so, Osimhen remains the competition’s second‑highest scorer this season with six goals—level with Kylian Mbappé and trailing only Erling Haaland.
