Osimhen given a clean bill of health following injury scare during Fenerbahce game

Victor Osimhen’s injury status has been clarified following his substitution on his club, Galatasaray goalless draw with Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahçe in the Trendyol Super Lig on Monday night.
The Nigerian, who started the match, was replaced by Kaan Ayhan in the 89th minute.
Speaking to reporters in the mixed zone after the clash at Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi RAMS Park, Galatasaray’s club doctor Yener İnce provided a brief update on Osimhen, hinting that the striker will be assessed on Tuesday.
In quotes relayed by habersarikirmizi.com, Yener İnce said: “We will see, it will be clear tomorrow (Tuesday).”
Osimhen went through an MRI scan on Tuesday and it is understood the Nigerian is in good condition and does not have any injuries.
Super Eagles gaffer, Eric Chelle must have been worried following the initial diagnosis as the Galatasaray would have added to his list of injured players ahead of Nigeria’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe next month.
West Brom center back Semi Ajayi, Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Club Brugge’s Raphael Onyedika are being looked at by their clubs’ medical teams after suffering injuries.
