Osimhen Granted Wish as Galatasaray Draw Juventus in UEFA Champions League Playoff

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will face familiar opposition after Galatasaray were paired with Juventus in the UEFA Champions League playoff qualifier.
The draw, made on Friday, sets up a high-profile clash between the Turkish champions and the Italian giants, with the first leg scheduled for February 18–19 and the return a week later.
Galatasaray booked their place in the playoff despite a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in their final League Phase game.
Speaking after that match, Osimhen insisted the team would be ready for any opponent, including Juventus or Atletico Madrid.
‘I am getting better physically. We don’t have a preference between Juventus or Atletico Madrid. We will be playing at this level consistently. We will improve,’ he told T24.
Osimhen also highlighted Galatasaray’s transfer activity, noting the arrivals of Noa Lang and Yaser Asprilla as key reinforcements.
Having faced Juventus several times during his spell at Napoli, the Nigerian forward will bring valuable experience into the tie.
Elsewhere in the draw, Ademola Lookman’s Atalanta will face Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen in another heavyweight playoff clash.
