Nigerian to plead case with Okan Buruk ahead of derby
Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is determined to feature in today’s Fenerbahçe derby, despite recently returning from injury.
The Nigerian forward, who missed matches against Gençlerbirliği in the Super League and Union SG in the Champions League, has already informed his teammates of his desire to play and will now meet with coach Okan Buruk to press his case for inclusion.
According to reports in Sabah Newspaper, Osimhen told teammates he is ready to take risks if necessary to be part of the derby.
‘I know the importance of the Fenerbahçe derby and its meaning for the fans. I experienced this excitement last season. This club made this investment in me for such big matches. If necessary, I will take risks and go out on the field and give my hundred percent,’ he said.
