‘Osimhen is a player that Barcelona wants, his name means goals and success,’ says Spanish journalist, Gabriel Sans

Barcelona are reportedly keeping a close eye on Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen as they begin planning for next season’s transfer window.

According to Gabriel Sans of El Mundo Deportivo, a journalist known for his proximity to the Catalan club, Osimhen is firmly on Barcelona’s radar as they search for a top tier center forward.

Speaking on Radyospor with Özgür Sancar, Sans explained that uncertainty surrounding Robert Lewandowski’s future has prompted Barcelona to explore alternatives.

Lewandowski, now 37 and currently sidelined with injury, may not continue beyond this season, leaving a potential gap in the squad’s attacking line.

Osimhen, currently starring for Galatasaray, has emerged as a prime candidate. Sans confirmed that while there have been no formal talks or negotiations between the parties, Barcelona’s interest is genuine and ongoing.

‘Victor Osimhen is a player that Barcelona wants. That’s for sure,’ he said. ‘His name means goals and success. Barcelona is following him very closely.’
