Osimhen makes it four goals in five Super Lig games for Galatasaray
Victor Osimhen scored again for the fourth time in five Turkish Super Lig games after his team, Galatasaray defeated local rivals, Besiktas 2-1 in a fiercely contested game at the Rams Park stadium in Istanbul.
The Nigerian, making his fourth start in five games, scored Galatasaray’s second goal on 67 minutes after Davinson Sánchez had given the host a 1-0 lead on 13 minutes.
Osimhen was later subbed off for his former Napoli teammate, Dries Mertens in the 82nd minute.
A 94th minute goal by Ernest Muçi for the visitors silenced the home crowd as Galatasaray held on for their ninth win 10 games to stay top of the log with 28 points, six ahead of Samsunspor in second and eighth ahead of another fierce rival, Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce and Besiktas who have both played a game less.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Serie A side, Napoli in the summer and has netted four times and provided four assists in seven games across all competitions.
