Breaking: Osimhen makes triple Serie A history!
--Becomes second Nigerian to win the Scudetto

Victor Osimhen scored his first Serie A goal since March and 22nd in 27 games to lead Napoli to their first Scudetto in 33 years.
Osimhen has thus become the second Nigerian to win the Serie A title after Obafemi Martins who won with Inter Milan in 2006.
The 24 year old Nigerian’s goal has also made him the top scoring African in a single Serie A season, supplanting Cameroun legend, Samuel Eto’o who netted 21 goals in 35 games for Inter Milan in 2010/2011 season.
Osimhen has now scored 46 Serie A goals in 78 games since he moved from Ligue 1 side, Lille to Napoli in September 2020.
The Super Eagles forward is now the joint African top scorer in Serie A history with Liberia’s George Weah who scored 46 times in 114 appearances for AC Milan.
Osimhen still leads the Serie A top scorer’s chart for the season and looks likely to become the first African top scorer in a single Serie A season.
