Osimhen sends sick note to Napoli amid transfer standoff

The future of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen remains uncertain as tensions rise between the player and Napoli. Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray, is reportedly eager to make his stay in Turkey permanent and has taken a bold step to signal his intentions.

According to transfer expert Matteo Moretto, speaking via his YouTube channel, Osimhen submitted a medical certificate to Napoli to excuse himself from the first day of pre-season training.

The move is seen as a clear message: the striker is waiting for negotiations between Napoli and Galatasaray to conclude swiftly.

Moretto stated, ‘Victor Osimhen hopes the deal between Napoli and Galatasaray is finalized soon. He has no intention, at least for now, of considering other options.’

Napoli, led by president Aurelio De Laurentiis, has chosen not to publicly respond to Osimhen’s absence. Instead, the club continues to engage in talks with Galatasaray over the striker’s potential transfer.
