Osimhen Set to Make 2025/26 Galatasaray Debut Against Karagümrük

Victor Osimhen is finally poised to make his first appearance for Galatasaray as coach Okan Buruk confirms the Nigerian striker will be part of the squad for Friday’s Süper Lig clash against Fatih Karagümrük.

After missing the previous match against Gaziantep FK, Osimhen expressed his desire to feature in the upcoming fixture. Buruk revealed that the forward had only trained for five to six days and was not match-fit enough to risk early involvement.

‘He told me he preferred to rest through this one and be ready to contribute in the next,’ Buruk explained.

‘Now, he’s in the squad and will likely get minutes in the second half.’

While Osimhen waits for his moment, Barış Alper Yılmaz will once again lead the line from the start.

Galatasaray will host Karagümrük on Friday, August 15, in what promises to be a high-energy encounter.
