Osimhen Tops Turkish Super Lig Rich List; Onuachu, Ndidi Not in Top 20

Victor Osimhen has claimed the top spot as the highest paid player in the Turkish Super Lig.

The Super Eagles striker, who joined Galatasaray in a record-breaking move from Napoli in 2024, earns a staggering £311,252 per week, according to figures compiled by Football Focus.

The former African Footballer of the Year is the only Nigerian to feature in the top 20, with compatriots such as Paul Onuachu, Wilfred Ndidi and Anthony Nwakaeme missing out.

Osimhen’s earnings are matched by Colombian forward Jhon Duran, currently on loan at Fenerbahce from Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Brazilian midfielder Ederson, also at Fenerbahce, ranks third with weekly wages of £228,252. Osimhen’s Galatasaray teammate Leroy Sane follows in fourth place, pocketing £186,751 per week, while N’Golo Kante, who joined Fenerbahce from the Saudi League during the winter transfer window, sits fifth with £183,665.

The rest of the top ten includes Milan Skriniar, Marco Asensio, Mauro Icardi, Orkun Kokcu and Brazilian Wilfred.

Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk, speaking on Thursday, admitted that Osimhen’s transfer fee and salary are so substantial they could practically fund the creation of a new team, highlighting the club’s escalating expenditure and activity during the winter transfer market.
