Osimhen’s Man United snub infuriates Napoli boss, De Laurentiis

Victor Osimhen’s reported refusal to listen to offers this January, especially from Manchester United and which could have brought in €81m for the Serie A side has reportedly infuriated Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Osimhen was loaned by Napoli to Turkish Super Lig side, Galatasaray in September and has contributed 13 goals and 5 assists in 16 matches for the yellow and red.

The Nigerian star has played an important role in the yellow and reds’ league lead and unbeaten run in Europe, and this has led Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim to ask for the player.

However, Osimhen, according to La Repubblica, did not respond to Amorim’s request.

The newspaper reported that despite Manchester United’s agreement with Napoli, the 26-year old’s desire to stay at Galatasaray caused the transfer not to take place.

Osimhen has thus blocked the possibility of bringing in €81 million for Napoli if he was transferred at during the January transfer window, a decision that reportedly infuriated De Laurentiis.

According to La Repubblica, De Laurentiis has now sent word to Galatasaray to sign Osimhen at the end of the season.
