Paris 2024 Olympics: D’Tigress have everything to play for Vs Canada after 75-54 loss to France

Nigeria’s senior basketball team, D’Tigress will switch their focus to the winner takes all game against Canada in their final group game after losing 75.54 to host nation, France.

The Nigerians, who surprised World number three, Australia with a 75-62 win in their opening group game to record their first win in 20 years lost 24 – 20 in the first quarter, 14 – 11, 16 – 8 and 21 – 15 in the next three quarters respectively to the French side that are absolutely flying they preserved their unbeaten record with the win.

D’Tigress played with typical courage and were on the front foot to almost keep pace with their opponents for much of the first-half.

However, the wheels came off for the Nigerians when France suffocated their offense completely and held them to single digits in the third quarter at just 8 points.

The French side are now through to the quarterfinals while D’Tigress have everything to play for when they face Canada in the last Group game.
