Pedullà: Atalanta demand at least €50m for Lookman

Napoli have set their sights on Ademola Lookman as a key transfer target ahead of next season, but negotiations with Atalanta are proving to be challenging. The Bergamo-based club is open to selling the Nigerian forward but has set strict conditions for his departure.

According to Alfredo Pedullà of Sportitalia, Lookman is not untouchable, but Atalanta will only consider a sale under the right circumstances. The club is demanding at least €50 million, preferably without any player exchanges, as they aim to maximize their financial return before securing a replacement.

Napoli, led by Aurelio De Laurentiis, admire Lookman’s profile but view the valuation as excessive, particularly given that the forward is closer to 30 than 25 years old. Despite this, the Partenopei remain interested, though they have yet to make a formal move.

Atalanta’s stance remains firm: they want a straight cash deal, making negotiations complex. Meanwhile, Lookman’s future remains uncertain, with Premier League clubs also monitoring the situation.
