Red-hot Iwobi seeking for first goal and fifth home win against Arsenal
Alex Iwobi could have a key role to play against his former club, Arsenal if Fulham are to take all three points from Sunday’s tie at Craven Cottage with the 28 year old bidding to become the first player (Emile Smith Rowe also in the mix) to score a home league goal against the Gunners having previously played for the north London side in the competition since Cesc Fabregas in February 2017.
Iwobi has been in great form since he joined Fulham from Everton last season and has scored 10 of the 27 goals he has scored in the competition with the Cottagers and the Nigerian looks to be hungry for more.
He has scored four goals in his last six Premier League appearances and five overall in 14 games to equal his best return for a season, but he has never scored in the eight games he has featured in against the Gunners.
He has however come out on the winning side in four of those matches, including the 2-1 win at Craven Cottage last December.
Iwobi has never lost a home match against the Gunners, with his five home encounters producing four wins and one draw.
