Registration closes as nearly 1,700 event entries received for MTN CHAMPS

Collection of competition bibs commences

Organizers of the MTN CHAMPS say nearly 1700 event entries from 883 athletes have been received for the first leg of the competition which will holds at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium in Benin city, the Edo state capital.

Registration has also closed for the three-day event which starts Thursday and ends on Saturday.

A total of 157 School/Team entries were received across the three age categories (Cadet, Youth and Junior) going by the final entry list as of Monday.

The entries by Athletes, School/Team as well as Entries by School/Team, Age Group & Event are now available and downloadable, as well as the Parental Consent
Form, which is compulsory for at least one parent or legal guardian of each participating athlete to sign.

Collection of competition bibs for all Registered Schools/Athletes has commenced at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, and continues until Wednesday October 11th, to confirm their participation and to remain on their event start lists.

According to the organizers, all Athletes must also print the 1-page parental consent form for their parent or legal guardian to sign and return at bib collection – a recognized contact of each Athletes’ School/Team should coordinate collection of their bibs and the return of their signed parental consent
forms.
