Remo Stars Sack Ogunmodede, Appoint Usman Abd’Allah as Technical Adviser

Remo Stars Football Club has announced the appointment of Usman Abd’Allah as Technical Adviser, effective immediately, following the departure of Daniel Ogunmodede.

The decision comes at a critical juncture for the defending NPFL champions, who have endured a difficult campaign this season.

The Sky Blue Stars have lost 16 of their 27 matches and currently sit 19th in the 20-team table with 27 points, just one point above bottom-placed Kwara United.

Ogunmodede, who guided the club to its historic league title, has been relieved of his duties as the team battles to avoid relegation.

Abd’Allah arrives with a wealth of experience and international credentials.

He holds the UEFA Pro Licence Certification, advanced degrees in football coaching and team management from Le CREPS de Montpellier, France, as well as the National Coaching Accreditation Programme (NCAP) Level 1 from Singapore and the prestigious LaLiga Coaching Certificate.

His coaching career spans Asia, France, and Nigeria, where he served as assistant coach of the Super Eagles under Jose Peseiro.

He previously led Enyimba FC to the NPFL title in the 2018/19 season and guided them to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederations Cup. He also worked with Kano Pillars FC as assistant coach and youth team overseer.
