Rice, Odegaard: ‘We’re Building Momentum’ After Crucial Three Points Vs Bournemouth

Arsenal’s senior figures Declan Rice and captain Martin Bournemouthdegaard praised the team’s resilience and mentality after securing a crucial three points in what both described as a chaotic but important win.
Rice, who found the net twice, highlighted the squad’s determination to respond to adversity, singling out defender Gabriel for recovering strongly after an early mistake.
‘It showed the character of Gabriel to make the mistake and then how he played for the rest of the game, it showed the mentality of the team. Key thing was three points and we are building momentum,’ Rice told BBC Match of the Day.
The midfielder admitted he was delighted to contribute goals, stressing the importance of different players stepping up during a season disrupted by injuries.
Bournemouthdegaard echoed Rice’s sentiments, acknowledging the team’s sloppy start but praising their ability to regroup and secure the win.
‘It was a strange game, very sloppy on the ball, especially in the first half, and with the first goal we put ourselves in trouble. Gabriel did well and credit to the whole team as well for coming back,’ the captain said.
While both players admitted there are areas to improve, they underlined that results are paramount as Arsenal continue to build momentum in their pursuit of silverware.
