Rodri Drops Hint on Real Madrid Future
Rodri has opened the door to a possible move to Real Madrid, hinting that the allure of the world’s biggest clubs is hard to resist.
The Manchester City midfielder, who turns 30 this summer, currently holds a market value of €65 million and is among the most valuable players with contracts expiring in 2027.
Despite his success in England, he has shown little interest in extending his stay, fueling speculation about a return to Spain.
The Atlético Madrid academy graduate joined City in 2019 for €70 million and has since become a cornerstone of Pep Guardiola’s side.
In an interview with Onda Cero, Rodri admitted: ‘I have one year left on my contract, there will be a point where we will have to sit down and talk. You can’t turn down the best clubs in the world.’
His comments have intensified rumours of Real Madrid’s interest, especially as the Spanish giants look to strengthen their midfield.
Rodri remains focused on the current season, where he could still add multiple trophies to his collection.
City have already lifted the EFL Cup, while challenges remain in the Premier League, FA Cup, and with Spain at the upcoming World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
