Romano: ‘Osimhen wants to leave Naples, PSG on standby, Chelsea does not want to pay the clause’

For the third straight pre-season game, Victor Osimhen was not seen in Napoli bench at the ‘Teofilo Patini’ stadium in Castel di Sangro, where Antonio Conte’s team took to the field Sunday evening against the Albanian side, KS Egnatia for the first friendly in Abruzzo.

The absence of the Nigerian is linked to his desire to leave Napoli.

Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, through his personal social channels, took stock of the situation on the future of the Nigerian striker: “Victor Osimhen, tonight, not even on the bench for Napoli because the plan of both parties remains clear.

‘Osimhen wants to leave, Napoli wants to take (Romelo) Lukaku. Negotiations with PSG have been on hold since Monday, under current conditions. Chelsea likes Osimhen but the west London side won’t pay 130 million euros that is his release clause.’
