Benin can secure spot if they beat Nigeria Thursday night in Abidjan
The Super Eagles are through to their 21st Africa Cup of National final tournament following Libya’s 1-0 defeat of the Amavubi of Rwanda in Kigali on Thursday evening.
The Libyans scored the only goal of the game on 84 minutes through Fahd Al-Mesmary to move to four points on the log and will now wait for the result of the game between Benin Republic and Nigeria to determine if their final home game against Gernot Rohr’s side will be the decider or a mere formality.
While Nigeria does not need a win or even a draw against the Cheetahs of Benin Thursday night, their host will also secure their passage to Morocco with a win over their guests.

If the Cheetahs win, they will move up to unassialable nine points for the chasing duo of Rwanda on five points and Libya on four points.
A draw will mean they will need to get a win in Libya in their final group game or a draw if Nigeria beats Rwanda in Uyo in their final game of the qualifiers.
A win r draw for Nigeria in Abidjan on Thursday night will confirm them as group leaders as none of the three other countries can get up to 11 points with only one round of game left.
