Sadiq nets 3rd Copa del Rey goal of season, own goal as Valencia crash out

Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar scored for Valencia and an own-goal in their 2-1 loss to Athletic Bilbao in the quarter-final of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.
Umar experienced a night of mixed emotions at the Mestalla.
He unintentionally put the ball in his own net in the 26 minutes when he attempted to clear a free-kick delivered into the box.
However, he redeemed himself nine minutes later to level the score at 1-1, capitalizing on an error from Bilbao goalkeeper, Alex Padilla.
Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams would then go on to break the hearts of Valencia fans in the sixth minute of added time of the second half, when he netted the winner in what was almost the last kick of the game.
The goal was Umar’s second for Valencia in the competition this season and third in four matches.
The Nigerian international, who enjoyed a decent spell on loan at Valencia last season, will be hoping to rediscover his best form following his return.
Valencia will now re-focus their effort on working to escape relegation in the Spanish La Liga this campaign.
They will host Real Madrid at home this weekend.
