Sanwo-Olu hails remarkable Super Falcons as Asisat Oshola leads Rasheedat Ajibade and Monday Gift to State House, Marina
Lagos state Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hailed the Super Falcons for their incredible run at the FIFA Women’s World Cup which is at the semifinal stage
in Australia and Newzeland.
Sanwo-Olu made the remark when she hosted three of the players paid him a courtsey call at State House, Marina in Lagos on Tuesday.
The Governor tweeted his excitement at hosting the ladies and hailed the team for igniting a ‘new era of enthusiasm for women’s football in Nigeria’.

‘Asisat Oshoala who came in company of Rasheedat Ajibade and Monday Gift, came to pay us a courtesy visit.
‘The Super Falcons’ incredible run at the FIFA Women’s World Cup has ignited a new era of enthusiasm for women’s football in Nigeria.
‘Their achievements on the field and the unity they brought to our nation are truly remarkable. We will continue to empower and encourage our female
athletes, and also work towards a brighter future for women’s football in Nigeria.

The Super Falcons crashed out of the tournament at the round of 16 stage. losing via penalty shoot-out to the Three Lionesses of England.
