Sevilla coach: ‘Iheanacho is available if we need him against Getafe’
Chrisantus Uche targets fourth start in four games

Sevilla head coach, García Pimienta says Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho returned to training on Friday and will be available for selection when the club hosts Chrisantus Uche’s Getafe on Saturday at the Estadio R. Sanchez Pizjuan in Seville.
Iheanacho has featured twice in four games for the LaLiga side, starting both games but the 27 year old was left on the bench for the entire duration of the game just before the international break.
The Nigerian’s return to raining on the eve of the game may see him start either subbed on for the first time or made to sit on the bench for the entire duration of the game for the second time this season.
“Kelechi is fine, a little tired from all the flying with the national team. But he trained normally today (Friday) and is available if we need him,’ said Pimienta at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
Iheanacho is looking to score his first LaLiga goal for the club he joined as a free agent in July and his first league goal since October 2023 when he netted the third goal for Leicester City in their 3-1 win at Swansea.
Meanwhile, little known Uche will be seeking to start his fourth game in Getafe’s fourth LaLiga game of the season.
Uche made the headlines when he scored on his LaLiga debut in the 1-1 draw at Athletic Bilbao.
