Sevilla coach, Pimienta: I’ve no doubt we will see the best of Iheanacho very soon

Kelechi Iheanacho has played only 75 minutes in the LaLiga and has completed eight of 10 passes. The Nigerian has neither scored nor provided an assist. He has fired two shots with none on target and has made no recovery.

The former Leicester City of England player has not made any dribble unlike his compatriot, Chidera Ejuke who tops the entire LaLiga with 17.

Sevilla head coach, García Pimienta is however confident Iheanacho has the quality to deliver and says he has no doubt the Super Eagle the fans and the club will see the best of the Nigerian very soon.

‘He (Iheanacho) has been with us all week and is doing well. He didn’t play last week because he had only recently got back from international duty and was tired from all the flying.

‘But he’s a great player and we have full faith in him. He brings quality and can take his chance when it comes.

‘It is a shame that we didn’t have him during pre-season, but I have no doubt that we will see the best of him very soon,’ said Pimienta at the press conference ahead of their game on Friday at the Estadio Mendizorroza where they will face their host, Deportivo Alaves in a LaLiga matchweek six game.
