Sevilla salary cap issues may affect Iheanacho’s registration on time for the start of LaLiga

With less than a week to the start of the 2024/25 LaLiga season, Sevilla, like almost 99% of LaLiga clubs may face problems registering its new signings early enough for the opening games of the season if the salary cap issues are not sorted.

Iheanacho joined Sevilla FC on July 31, 2024. However, Sevilla is currently facing salary cap issues, which could potentially affect their ability to register new players.

If Sevilla can resolve their salary cap issues before the start of the season, they should be able to register Iheanacho. Otherwise, they might face delays or restrictions.

La Liga has strict financial regulations, and clubs must comply with salary caps to register new signings.

ABC Sevilla, a Sevilla based newspaper revealed in its Friday edition that Sevilla cannot register its new signings unless it sells some of its players and there are fears this may not be done before the club plays Las Palmas at the Estadio Gran Canaria next Friday.
