Sevilla Vs Osasuna: Iheanacho resumes hunt for first league goal of 2024 in Seville Monday

Kelechi Iheanacho will be hoping he has done much in training to get him back into contention when his club, Sevilla host Osasuna Monday evening at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in a LaLiga matchweek 15 game.

The Nigerian was an unused substitute for the sixth time in the competition when Sevilla defeated Rayo Vallecano last week and the 28 year old will be eager to get back playing as he hopes to avoid setting an unwanted record of not scoring in the league in the 2024 calendar year.

The former Leicester City player has not scored in the league since October 2023 when he netted the third goal in the Foxes’ 3-1 win at Swansea in a Sky Bet Championship game.

Since then, the former Manchester City forward has featured in 18 leagues games with seven of the games played in 2023 and just 11 in the 2024 calendar year.

If he scores, it will be his first in the LaLiga.
