Shearer: Saka could reach 20 Premier League goals this season

Premier League legend and now a pundit, Alan Shearer believes Arsenal star boy, Bukayo Saka can score 20 Premier League goal this season after the Nigeria-born England international scored for Arsenal in their opening game of the 2024/2024 Premier League season against Wolves at the Emirates stadium on Saturday.
Saka provided the assist for Kai Havertz to put Arsenal in the lead in the first half before the 22 year old scored the game’s second goal to secure all three points for the Gunners.
Shearer, who is the Premier League all-time top scorer with 260 goals and 64 assists in 441 appearances, named Saka in his first team of the week selection on the Premier League website.
‘A goal and an assist. Outstanding for Arsenal. Could reach 20 Premier League goals this season,’ Shearer wrote about the winger netted his 48th goal in 171 appearances in the competition since he made his debut in the 2019/20 season.
Saka scored 16 goals in the Premier League last season to become the Gunners’ top scorer in the competition for the second time. He first topped the scorers’ chart for Mikel Arteta’s men in the 2021/22 season when he scored 11 times, one more that Emile Smith Rowe who is now at Fulham and four better than captain Martin Ødegaard.
