Super Eagles Defenders Excused from Turkey Camp
Two Super Eagles defenders, Bruno Onyemaechi and Semi Ajayi, have been excused from Nigeria’s training camp in Turkey on compassionate grounds.
Onyemaechi was released to be with his Portuguese partner as she welcomed their first child.
Hull City defender Ajayi was also granted permission by team officials to attend to a personal matter.
As a result, both players will not be available for selection in Tuesday’s international friendly against Jordan.
The duo featured prominently in Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Iran on Friday, after which they departed the camp.
