Super Eagles projected to drop 10 places in November FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are projected to drop 10 places from 36th to 46th when the November FIFA ranking is released in eight days’ time (November 28, 2024).

The Nigerians played two 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games this month. They drew 1-1 with the Cheetahs of Republic of Benin in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire before losing 2-1 to the Amavubi of Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio stadium in Uyo early this 2-1.

The Super Eagles are also projected to drop from fourth to sixth in Africa following the disappointing results.

Nigeria will rank below Morocco who are projected to drop from 13th to 14th in the world, Senegal who are projected to move up two places from 20th to 18th and the Pharaohs of Egypt who will drop three places from 30th to 33rd in the world.

Algeria and Cote d’Ivoire are projected to move above Nigeria in the world and in Africa.

The Dessert warriors of Algeria are projected to remain the 37th best nation in the world and move up to fourth in Africa, pushing Nigeria to sixth.

Reigning Africa Cup of Nations champions, the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire are expected to drop five places in the world to 45th but move above Nigeria.
