Super Falcons remain 36th best in FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking

The Super Falcons of Nigeria are still the 36th best national women’s football team in the world and first in Africa following the latest update by FIFA on its FIFA/Coca-Cola Women’s World Ranking.

The Nigerians have been ranked 36th best in the world since they dropped two places from 34th to 36th in December 2023.

The Super Falcons have however been ranked Africa’s best since the beginning of the ranking in 2003 with the team ranking highest in the early years of the ranking.

The Super Falcons started the ranking as the 23rd best in the world and first in Africa and that has been the team’s highest ranking ever. The lowest has been 46th.

Meanwhile, South Africa (54th) and Morocco (60th) are ranked second and third respectively in Africa while globally, USA, Spain and Germany remain the top three nations, followed by England, Japan, Sweden, Canada, Brazil, South Korea and Netherlands to complete the top 10.
