SuperSport to Broadcast All 52 AFCON Matches Live Across Africa
AFCON 2025 Kicks Off on Sunday as Nigeria, Africa’s Best Renew Rivalries
SuperSport has announced that every single one of the 52 matches of the 2025 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) will be broadcast live across Africa, ensuring fans can follow the continent’s biggest football showpiece without interruption.
A dedicated AFCON pop-up channel will carry the action, available on DStv channel 202 and GOtv channel 59, giving supporters front-row access to the drama unfolding in Morocco.
The tournament kicks off on Sunday with hosts Morocco facing Comoros at 8:00pm, marking the beginning of three weeks of fierce continental rivalries.
Monday’s fixtures will see Mali take on Zambia at 3:00pm, South Africa meet Angola at 6:00pm, and seven-time champions Egypt begin their campaign against Zimbabwe at 9:00pm.
Tuesday is set to be a highlight for Nigerian fans as the Super Eagles open their AFCON 2025 journey against Tanzania at 6:30pm. Earlier in the day, DR Congo will face Benin at 1:30pm, defending champions Senegal will meet Botswana at 4:00pm, and Tunisia will round off the night against Uganda at 9:00pm.
Nigeria’s fixture is already being viewed as a crucial early test, with supporters eager for a confident start in a group seen as favourable.
The first round of matches concludes on Wednesday, December 24, with Burkina Faso taking on Equatorial Guinea at 1:30pm, Algeria meeting Sudan at 4:00pm, Ivory Coast clashing with Mozambique at 6:30pm, and Cameroon battling Gabon in the final fixture at 9:00pm.
Even before the opening whistle, AFCON 2025 has delivered its share of drama. Cameroon have been in the spotlight over squad selection controversies, while Ghana’s absence from the tournament, after failing to qualify, has sparked debate across the continent.
