Terem Moffi Proud to Wear Porto Colors, Vows Goals for Fans

Terem Moffi has officially begun his new chapter at FC Porto, declaring himself ‘very proud’ to join a club he describes as one that ‘fights to win games and trophies in Europe and Portugal.’

The Nigerian striker, who will wear the number 29 shirt, returned to Estádio do Dragão just two months after facing Porto as an opponent, but this time with the determination to deliver goals for the fans.

In his first words as a Porto player, Moffi emphasized his gratitude to the president, coach, and supporters, saying: ‘Wearing the colors of this Club means a lot to me and I can only thank the president, the coach and the fans.’

He added that he is eager to meet head coach Francesco Farioli, whom he worked with two years ago at OGC Nice.

‘Farioli is someone who likes to focus on the small details to make you evolve. He lived a great season at Ajax and now at FC Porto he is also doing something extraordinary, so he has all my respect and consideration.’

Moffi also expressed excitement about reuniting with Pablo Rosario, his former teammate at Nice.

‘He is one of the best human beings I have ever met. In addition to being an excellent person, he is a great footballer. When I started thinking about coming here, I spoke to him right away. He told me a lot of good things about the Club, the group and the fans. I’m very excited to meet him in person again.’

Speaking directly to the supporters, Moffi presented himself as ‘a player who loves to be happy playing football, scoring goals, working for the team and helping his teammates.’

He acknowledged the expectations surrounding his arrival: ‘I know the fans have high expectations, but I want, with God’s help, to be able to score the goals they expect to see.’

Reflecting on his recent past, Moffi admitted that playing against Porto left him with a bitter feeling after defeat, but now he is delighted to be ‘on the other side.’

His message to the fans was clear: ‘Keep supporting the team and me too, because we will try to keep winning games and scoring goals to finish the season in the best way.’
