‘This is where I wanted to be’: says Arokodare after sealing his transfer to EPL side, Wolves

Tolu Arokodare has expressed his excitement after sealing a deadline-day move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, describing the club as the perfect environment to take the next step in his career.

The Nigerian international arrives at Molineux fresh off a stellar season with Genk, where he clinched the Golden Boot in the Belgian Pro League.

His decision to join Wolves was influenced by the club’s reputation for developing talent and the success of players like Jorgen Strand Larsen, who thrived at Wolves last season.

‘It feels amazing. It took a while, but I’m finally here and I’m happy. I didn’t need convincing, I know the club’s history and how players have grown here.

‘I love the project, and that’s what I want for myself: to improve, to progress, and to help the team,’ he told the club official website.

‘I think I’ll fit in well. If you look at the strikers we have now, we’re similar in profile, so adapting won’t be difficult. You saw how well Jorgen Strand Larsen did last season, I’m here to contribute in the same way,’ said the Nigerian who promised to deliver goals for the club.

‘There’s still confidence from last season. I haven’t played many minutes this season for obvious reasons, but I’m hoping to get back to regular action and rediscover my scoring touch.

‘Winning the Golden Boot was special. It wasn’t easy, there was strong competition. To be fair, I was joint top scorer, but it still felt great. It was a proud moment, even though we didn’t win the title.’

‘I believe I’ll fit in well. The Premier League is physical, intense, and full of running, and that suits me. I’m strong, I’m fast. The first few games might be tough, but I’m ready for the challenge.

‘I’ve played in Germany, France, and Belgium. England was the missing piece, and now I’m here, it feels right.’
