Traditional rites begin in Sapele for late Nigeria international goalkeeper, Fregene

!The traditional rite called Koromaju, the first in a series of ceremonies for the funeral of late Peter Fregene, took place on Tues, according to Segun Odegbami,  a former Nigeria international winger.

‘His wife and children organised the event to announce the passage of their father, a great man and an elder. Family, friends, fans and neighbours assembled at his residence in Sapele for the traditional dancing, eating and drinking that went on through the day and long into the night.

‘The family will meet on Thursday to finalize the programs for the funeral-proper,’ Odegbami wrote on his WhatsApp platform.
