Transfermarkt: Lookman’s the most valuable ‘second striker’ in the world!
Okoye, Dele-Bashiru also soar in market value; Chukwueze unchanged, Ebuehi drops
Ademola Lookman is now the most valuable player among players who play as second striker in the world following the update on the Serie A market value by Transfermarkt.
The Nigerian, 26, has been in phenomenal form since he scored a hat-trick to help Atalanta win the UEFA Europa League last season and was last month named his club’s player of the month for September as well as in Whoscored’s Serie A player of the month.
Lookman’s market value has now risen to another career high €40m, up by €10m from the €30m he was valued just 10 months ago.
The Atalanta forward ranks as his club’s second most valuable player after centre back Giorgio Scalvini who is valued at €45m and number three in Nigeria behind Victor Osimhen (€75m) and Victor Boniface (€45m).
The former Leicester City player is also ranked 155th most valuable player in the world and 17th in the Serie A.
Maduka Okoye and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru also enjoyed rise in their market value, Samuel Chukwueze and David Ankeye remain unchanged while injured Tyronne Ebuehi’s value dropped following the update.
Okoye remains Nigeria’s most valuable goalkeeper and 21st most valuable overall after his value rose by as much as €3.50m to a career high
€7.50m.
The 25-year-old has been one of the best goalkeepers in the Serie A since he made his debut in the competition in December and has kept two clean sheets in seven games this season.
He is ranked 177th most valuable player in the Serie A, number five among all players in Udinese and 71st amongst all goalkeepers in the world.
Midfielder Dele-Bashiru who scored Nigeria’s goal in the 1-0 defeat of Libya in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo penultimate week is now worth a career high €4.50m following his eye-catching performances for SS Lazio this term.
The 23-year-old was valued just €2m in May and he is now ranked 31st among all players from Nigeria, 259th in the Serie A and 16th in Lazio.
Chukwueze’s market value remains unchanged from his €20m valuation in March this year while Ebuehi dropped by €500k to €2m.
