Troost-Ekong and Ighalo clash in Saudi Pro League

Super Eagles captain, William Troost-Ekong and former forward, Odion Ighalo will go head-to-head for the first time in the Saudi Pro League on Thursday at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium.
For Troost-Ekong, the game presents him and his club, Al-Kholood Club their first opportunity to record their first victory of the new season while for Ighalo and Al-Wehda FC, it is the perfect chance to get their second win of the season.
Ighalo will also be seeking to score his second goal of the season after netting his first in the 2-1 defeat of Al-Orobah FC at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium last month.
The 2019 Africa Cup of Nations top scorer has netted 17 times in 37 games across all competitions for Al-Wehda in August 2023.
Troost-Ekong joined the Saudi Arabia train last month and the reigning AFCON Most Valuable Player will be hoping to help his clu stop Ighalo and Al-Wehda forwards for their first clean sheet of the season and first win if they win away from home.
