‘We are going to give 150% against Nigeria’, says Rwanda striker, Bizimana

Rwanda captain, Djihad Bizimana says clipping the wings of the Super Eagles that are now flying high in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers remains the sole objective of the Amavubi.

The Rwandans will host Nigeria in the matchday 2 of the qualifiers at the new-look Amahoro stadium in Kigali and Bizimana insists at the pre-match press conference Monday evening that ‘every player in the group is going to give their all to beat Nigeria on their home ground on Tuesday.’

Bizimana is also confident they can stop the rampaging duo of Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen who scored the goals for the Super Eagles when they hammered the Cheetahs of Republic of Benin last Saturday in Uyo.

‘We are going to give 150%. It would be difficult for us if we do less than that. We know that we are going to play against a tough team but all I am asking Rwandans is to come and support us. They won’t go back home disappointed,’ he said.

Rwanda have never beaten Nigeria in four head-to-head clashes with the Super Eagles winning just once and that was way back in 2012 in the qualifier for the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
