‘We expect Osimhen to be in the squad for Alanyaspor and on the field Vs Liverpool’: Buruk offers encouraging update on Nigerian

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has delivered a promising update on Victor Osimhen, confirming that the Nigerian striker is expected to return to action in the upcoming match against Corendon Alanyaspor on Friday, September 26.
Osimhen, who picked up an injury while on international duty, has been gradually reintegrating into team training. Buruk revealed that the forward participated in part of the latest session and underwent medical checks, which showed only minor pain.
‘We hope that if he tolerates it, he’ll be with the team in Alanya. We’ll try him in training. His pain continues, but we expect him to be in the squad for Alanyaspor and on the field for the Liverpool match,’ Buruk said.
The striker’s recovery has been closely monitored by Galatasaray’s medical team, who have informed the coaching staff that his condition is improving. However, with a Super League clash against Konyaspor looming, the club may opt not to risk him prematurely.
Osimhen himself has expressed a strong desire to play, stating that he is ready to feature against Konyaspor if called upon.
Since joining Galatasaray, Osimhen has made three appearances and scored twice. He missed recent fixtures against Eyüpspor and Eintracht Frankfurt.
